It is my privilege to be the Principal of Wakaaranga School, a high performing school with a clear educational focus and a strong community spirit.

Located in East Auckland, Wakaaranga is a large contributing primary school of approximately 780 students. Our school is renowned for quality teaching and learning where all children are supported and encouraged to meet their full potential and live by our school motto “to be the best I can possibly be”. Our school culture is based on our values of respect, responsibility, reflection and resilience; and is focused on continual improvement, keeping students at the heart of everything we do.

We provide a rich hands-on curriculum that promotes high standards and expectations. We strive to support children in becoming critical, creative thinkers and lifelong learners who develop skills to take responsibility for their own learning.
