Level 3.2 Update - Return to School
Dear Parents/Caregivers,
We are delighted to be able to welcome more students back onsite under Alert Level 3 from next Wednesday 17 November. We know that learning face to face is the best option for children and young people. It’s important for them to connect with their friends and teachers and it helps their social, physical, and emotional wellbeing.
As shared yesterday, we believe that the best path for the reopening of Wakaaranga is a part-time, staggered approach as we are unable to have the full school on site if we are to comply with the public health requirements. Our key aim throughout the planning process has been to enable students to reconnect with their own teacher and class peers.
We acknowledge that our reopening organisation may not suit all our families if the days and times that your child is able to be at school do not correlate with work or childcare arrangements. Our priority in planning for our reopening has been to ensure that we robustly meet the necessary health and safety requirements as directed by the Ministry of Health.
Please read the information enclosed within this newsletter carefully as it outlines how our school will run when we reopen at Level 3 on Wednesday 17th November.
If your child will be attending school when we open from the 17th November, please register their attendance using the button below. This registration will form our class rolls for the coming weeks.
Wishing you all a relaxing weekend
